For the Carhartt WIP Radio show dedicated to Sneaker Social Club, run by Bristol-based producer Low End Activist since 2011, across more than 50 catalogue releases sitting at the intersection of UK bass, wonky techno, and breaky rave sound, the sheer range of sleeve art, flyers, and posters tied to the label's history called for a different approach than a single new illustration. Rather than picking one motif, the concept became building a world out of many: a large-scale collage assembled entirely from the label's own visual archive.
Motifs from record covers, flyers, and posters were cut out with a rough, hand-cut edge and backed with a white fill, reinforcing the look and feel of a physical paper collage rather than a digital composite. Each element carries a light wiggle, giving the still composition a subtle, hand-assembled sense of motion, as if the pieces had just been arranged on a table. The scene itself, a British street corner with a red phone box, a tower block bearing the Sneaker Social Club signage, and vintage cars, reads as its own small, self-contained world built from the label's iconography. The poster was based directly on this intro scene.
